I started this portrait of my cat, Doug E. Fresh, in February 2018 at a Painting with a Twist Event. After a year of deliberating how to complete his little Western shirt, I finally just decided to do a rough interpretation of it and make the rest of him look true to life (m.ainly because I wanted to finally hang the finished product on my living room wall). The inspiration photo from Doug’s 5th birthday.
